Jeep Key Replacement Honolulu

Jeep key replacement and programming in Honolulu

Lost Your Jeep Key? Replaced On-Site in Honolulu

A Wrangler with no doors and a lost key at Waimea Bay is a Honolulu classic. Jeep keys — transponder, FOBIK or proximity — are all cut and programmed on-site, including the 2018+ models whose security gateway sends most shops to the dealer.

Double Quick Locksmith cuts the blade by VIN code and programs the new key to your Jeep’s immobilizer in the van — at your driveway, the beach lot or the office garage — in one visit. No tow to the dealership, no waiting for a key to be ordered. Part of our Jeep locksmith service; see also Jeep key programming if you still have a key that stopped working.

Jeep Key Types by Model Year

  • 2005–2007 Wrangler TJ, Liberty, Grand Cherokee WK (turn key) — transponder key, cut by code and programmed to the SKIM immobilizer.
  • 2008–2017 Wrangler JK, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Compass, Patriot, Renegade — FOBIK key (the plastic “key” that twists in the dash) with WIN module; programmed on-site, including all-keys-lost.
  • 2014+ push-to-start Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Renegade, Compass — proximity smart key.
  • 2018+ Wrangler JL, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee — smart key behind the security gateway (SGW); we program with authorized access.

Not sure which you have? Text us a photo of the key or the year and model, and we tell you the exact price before we roll.

What to Have Ready for a Jeep Key Replacement

  • Proof of ownership — registration, title or insurance card showing the vehicle, plus a photo ID. NASTF rules require it for every key we make.
  • The VIN — on the dash plate or the registration; we cut the blade from it.
  • Any remaining key, even a broken or non-working one — it can turn an all-keys-lost job into a cheaper duplicate.
  • Where the car is — we work hotel garages, beach lots, Costco and Ala Moana parking structures; tell us the level and stall.

Jeep tip: FOBIK keys on 2008–2017 models fail when the WIN module wears — if the key twists loosely in the dash or the Jeep starts only on the second try, the fix is the module, not another key.

Jeep key replacement FAQs

Yes. All-keys-lost is our most common Jeep call. We cut the blade from the VIN and program a new key to the immobilizer on-site, then erase the lost key so it can no longer start the car. Bring proof of ownership and a photo ID.

Jeep turn keys and FOBIKs are usually done in 30–45 minutes on-site; smart keys 30–60 minutes, a little longer on security-gateway models. Arrival is typically 20–30 minutes in urban Honolulu and 30–40 minutes for Kapolei, Mililani or Kailua.

Usually, and faster: the dealer needs the car towed in when every key is lost and often orders the key. We carry Jeep blanks and programming equipment in the van and quote one number up front.

Yes, on-site. We have the authorized access to program keys through the security gateway on JL Wranglers, Gladiators and newer Grand Cherokees — no tow to the dealer.

Yes — rental customers in Waikīkī, Ko Olina and at the airport get an itemized receipt for reimbursement, and we erase the lost key from the vehicle so the rental company has nothing to worry about.
